Frequently Asked Questions
- Why does it need access to my Google Calendar?
The core functionality of GoFastCall is to find your current meeting's video conference link so you can get there in one click. Therefore, GoFastCall integrates directly with Google Calendar so it can get a list of meetings.
- Is my calendar data safe and secure?
Yes, GoFastCall reads calendar data from Google Calendar and caches it locally on your computer. It does not touch any other servers.
- How does GoFastCall work?
It picks the meeting with the closest start time to now and finds the meeting link in the event. So when it's time, you can just click the button to go to the meeting.
- What is this Identity API Scope Approval window?
GoFastCall uses a Chrome Extension API to authenticate with Google Calendar, and this is the window that Chrome's authentication API creates. I know (and hate) how confusing this is. Unfortunately Chrome has not made it better.
- Don't believe what I said?
GoFastCall is open source! That means you can read the code in all its glory.
